Delete Your Account

How to delete your Future Boards account and what happens to your data.

Delete it yourself
If you can sign in, this is the quickest way. We email you a link to confirm.

On the web: sign in, open Account › Security and choose Delete account.

In the mobile app: open the Account tab and choose Delete account.

Can’t sign in?
Enter the email address you sign in with. If it belongs to an account, we’ll email it a link to confirm the deletion.
What happens to your data

Deleted straight away

  • Your name, email addresses and profile photo
  • Your password and the Google or Microsoft sign-ins linked to your account
  • Every signed-in session, on the web and on your devices
  • Your membership of every organisation

Kept by your organisation

Board records belong to the organisation that holds them, and directors often have a legal duty to keep them. Minutes, votes, meeting records, signed documents and the audit log stay with your organization, shown as “Deleted user” instead of your name. Ask your organisation if you want something in those records changed.

On your phone

The mobile app deletes the board papers it downloaded when you sign out, or when your account is deleted and the app signs you out. Uninstalling the app removes everything else it stored.

If you’re the only owner

You can’t delete your account while you’re the only owner of an organisation, or while you pay for its subscription. Make another member an owner or cancel the subscription first. We’ll tell you which organizations are affected.
